The Space Foundation Discovery Center has produced an informative booklet that showcases the STEAM programs and exhibits available at the Center. The booklet features exquisite illustrations that emphasize the importance of STEAM education, and employs symmetrical alignment to draw the attention of parents and other interested parties.

Public Programming Homeschool Days supports K-12 students and their families by integrating science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEAM) into exciting laboratory and classroom lessons. Participate in educator led Science On a Sphere® presentations, Standards based lessons and demonstrations, and theme speci昀椀c activities. STEM Adventures for Little Space Explorers Small Steps, Giant Leap engages little space explorers (PreK-K) with interactive and creative storytelling. The program strives to celebrate creative engagement and the job of reading. Each month has a di昀昀erent theme and activity base on a children’s picture book. 1 Space Foundation Discovery Center

Tesla’s Toolbox encourages creativity and exploration through space-inspired workshops that allow participants to engage in hands on learning. Enjoy experiments that turn science into learning, and fun into enthusiasm. Family Star Party provides a safe, outdoor learning environment for the whole family connecting attendees to the wonders of the universe. Through Discovery Center’s partnership with Mobile Earth + Space Observatory, a “science center on wheels” equipped with telescopes, another dimension of fun is added to the experience. 2

Public Programming Discovery Center Astronomy Club provides a unique space for teenagers ages 15 to 18 to meet like minded individuals, practice science presentation skills and learn about current astronomy and physics research while receiving guidance for college preparation and the steps toward a future STEAM career. Members of the High School Astronomy Club meet monthly, prior to the Family Star Party, then stay for the Family Star Party to assist as an outreach guide for families. 3 Space Foundation Discovery Center

Discovery Exhibits We are the region’s 昀椀rst and only space, science and technology attraction. It is an interactive, museum-quality destination that advances science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM) in the exciting context of space exploration, development and utilization. Lockheed Martin Space Education Center The center features the AGI Space Missions Simulation Laboratory, which teaches STEAM principles in a format that appeals to all generations. El Pomar Space Gallery This exhibit shows the history and future of space exploration with interactive displays and artifacts related to space science, technology, and engineering. Northrop Grumman Science Center Science On a Sphere® uses satellite imagery and special software to create full motion views of the Earth, Sun, moons, and planets. 2023 Program Guide 6
