      The Individual Problem: I discovered I was a victim of DV (domestic violence) and did not receive help from and/or was retraumatized by: ○ Mainstream society ○ My Black community

      The National Problem: ○ 40% of Black women in the U.S. are facing/will face this problem ○ It is killing us during and after DV (domestic violence) ○ Mainstream society and the Black community have ignored and/or created barriers for us dealing with DV

      The Mission: #ChangeTheNarrative

      Solving the National Problem: Educate in both spaces - Centers of Must* (Mainstream) & Centers of Trust* (Black community) by training: ○ *Must: how to identify & restore historically inaccurate, media-induced mindsets, how to create safe spaces for Black women, how to safely de-escalate in crisis interactions ○ *Trust: how to spot potential DV, how to screen, how to support and facilitate proper safety planning, and how to connect to proven services
