NEW HIRE BENEFITS BROCHURE November 1, 2021 – October 31, 2022 U.S. Benefits Package ABC Company is proud to offer a competitive benefits package to support our employees no matter where they are in their journey. The following brochure will outline a total rewards package to support the health of our employees and their families. ABC Company’s plan year runs November 1 – October 31 each year with open enrollment occurring at the end of September. During open enrollment, employees will have the opportunity to change any benefits enrollments that they have previously held. If an employee has a Qualified Life Event during the plan year, such as marriage, birth of a child, etc, they will also have the opportunity to change any benefits elections with the QLE effective date. Employees should submit their QLE with HR within 30 days of it occurring. When joining ABC Company, new hires have a 30 day window to enroll in or waive insurance benefits. Insurance coverage is effective as of the new hire’s start date. New hires will submit their enrollments through the HR System. Regardless of if you are enrolling in insurance benefits, new hires will need to actively waive enrollments and record beneficiary information. ABC Company is pleased to offer Domestic Partner coverage for Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance. Employee’s covering a domestic partner on their benefits will see it as a taxable income based off of the fair market value (FMV). Employees will be paying the pre-tax premium, post-tax premium, and the imputed income.
