But Max, the CEO of Affirm and a serial entrepreneur, says it’s his wife, Nellie Levchin, who steers the ship. Since 2017, Levchin has led the early-stage firm to invest in transformational companies across fintech, marketplaces, and science — leveraging her years of experience as a product manager at PayPal and a chief risk officer at Clarium Capital. The Levchins’ investments in real-estate tech have also proved successful.
