For inspiration, here are some interesting facts about a few 1 well–known products : • WD–40 was born when 3 rocket scientists tried to develop a substance that would prevent corrosion in rockets by displacing water. They got it to work on their 40th try, and thus named the substance “Water Displacement—40th Try” or WD–40. • Penicillin was discovered by accident. Dr. Alexander Fleming was growing staphylococci cultures in his lab when he decided to take a vacation.
