Ann Miura-Ko #58 Co-founder and partner, Floodgate Ann Miura-Ko says she thinks of herself not only as an investor but also as a “co-conspirator” with founders. She made two to five investments a year, she said, so that she’d have the bandwidth to meet regularly with companies and “lend support and an extra pair of eyes” to founders. That laser focus has been a winning strategy for Miura-Ko. She invested in Lyft’s seed round, which gave her a return of 10,000 times her investment when it went public in 2019. More recently, Miura-Ko has backed the popular startups Poparazzi, a photo app that’s taking on Instagram, and Popshop Live, a shopping app that leverages live streaming. Both snatched up new funding from blue-chip venture firms at valuations north of $100 million last year. Source: businessInsider
