Gale Wilkinson #84 Founder and managing partner, VitalizeVC Gale Wilkinson takes a community-building approach to startup investing. Her first foray into the field was founding IrishAngels, a network of angel investors affiliated with Notre Dame, her alma mater. The group’s portfolio includes the fintech company Chime, valued at $25 billion in August after its last funding round. Her current firm, VitalizeVC, also has an angel-network offshoot. At Vitalize, Wilkinson seeks to invest in startups that focus on the future of work and education. For instance, she’s backed The Mom Project, which provides job listings geared toward working mothers and counts Serena Williams as a strategic advisor.
