Morgan Flager #92 Managing partner, Silverton Partners Morgan Flager said he learned how to mentor younger entrepreneurs from his high-school wrestling coach. “He would go out of his way to pull me aside and tell me that I had a unique talent and could achieve amazing things if I put the work in,” he told Orlando Zayas, the CEO of Katapult, in an interview published on Medium. He went on to cofound the e-commerce software company Woosh in 1998, which HP funded and later acquired, he said. Now, as an investor at Silverton Partners, Flager invests in enterprise software, healthtech, fintech, insurtech, and proptech, among other areas. And he tries to give founders the type of encouragement he received from his coach. Last year, Flager invested in five startups that raised over $242.8 million in total, press releases said and data from PitchBook indicated. He was also an early investor at TurnKey Vacation Rentals, which Vacasa acquired for over $45 million. Source: businessInsider
