26 ISSUED: NOV. 2021 Looking Forward As the latest science makes clear, the global community needs to quickly increase the ambition and progress of environmental targets, build climate- resilient businesses and prepare for the net zero economy. Altria is committed to doing our part and sharing our progress as we work to overcome these challenges. This includes assessing our ability to establish a 2050 net zero GHG emissions target when the SBTi releases its methodology for companies to set credible targets. We will also explore a more ambitious Scope 3 science- based target when we re-baseline and re-set our targets to account for the sale of Ste. Michelle Wine Estates. We will also pursue our target to reduce the environmental impact of our companies’ products by working to understand impacts and determine initiatives around biodiversity, deforestation, product packaging and the smoke-free product pipeline.
