Story Boarding After reading the excerpt from ‘Putting a Science Course Online’ you should begin the arduous task of picking a topic or concept for your lab. For the purpose of this tutorial I will use our “Microscope Lab”. A pre-existing flash lab has been chosen which is offered as a free resource by University of Delaware and a lesson plan has been drawn to cover the following:  Purpose of the Lab  Objectives  Materials needed  Light microscope images  The different parts of the microscope  Define  Pre-Lab Questions  Total magnification  Have them read and identify the different ocular and objective magnifications  Name the parts of the microscope  Procedure questions  Draw the slide questions  Have students demonstrate their knowledge of working the microscope by having them draw certain views from the microscope  Give video example of how this is done  Conclusion Questions Now that we know what we want in the lab and in what order, let’s put it together in a more visual presentation, a story board!
