More Life Insurance If you’re the worrying kind and your company-paid coverage isn’t enough, you can also add life insurance for: l Yourself. Purchase from one to seven times your annual base salary, up to a maximum of $2,000,000. l Your spouse. Get additional family coverage in $5,000 increments up to a maximum of $250,000 for your spouse or partner (but it can’t be more than 50% of your own coverage). l A child. Purchase $10,000 worth of coverage for a dependent child. Short-Term Disability How would you pay your bills if a serious illness or injury kept you away from your job? LTD kicks in after 90 days, but until then short-term disability (STD) insurance can replace your income if you become disabled and can’t work for more than seven days. It pays 55% of your weekly base salary up to a maximum of $1,011 per week. Please note that our plan coordinates with state-mandated plans in Hawaii, New Jersey, and New York. And if you work in California you aren’t eligible – because you’re automatically enrolled in the state- mandated plan instead. Thanks for that, California. 15
