For our owned and operated sites, we focus our solar installations on facilities that have the most potential for productive output, such as those with large rooftops or situated near vacant land. As of fiscal 2021, our total solar capacity is 5.7 MW. During the fiscal year, we generated more than 5,000 MWh of solar energy, which is equivalent to the amount of carbon sequestered by 4,300 acres of U.S. forests in one year. RENEWABLE ENERGY PORTFOLIO Our renewable energy portfolio reflects a variety of renewable technologies and approaches, including ground-mounted and rooftop solar and our Virtual Power Purchase Agreement (VPPA) for wind energy. We also purchase renewable energy credits (RECs) to offset emissions from electricity use.
