Our expert human app localization is just 4 cents per word, and our auto-translation is just 0.1 cents per word. We believe other localization services have been overcharging and overcomplicating the process. On Smooth Localize, you simply drag in your files, past in your text, and when you order is ready, you drag them back into your app! Its that simple. And all for less than half of the price of any other iOS Localization service.

Who is SmoothLocalize?
We are a small company based near New York, NY, and our only goal is to make it as easy and as cheap as possible for indie app developers to localize their apps to as many languages as they can.

What platforms do you support?
iOS, and now introducing Android! Android localization is still in beta, so please let us know if you notice any bugs while ordering or implementing your finished files. We will be happy to fix them for you!

How does automatic translation work?
We use the power of Google Translate to translate each string, and then our system puts those translated strings back into a properly formatted strings file. While we obviously recommend using an expert, human translator on as many languages as possible, our Automatic translations allow you to cover all those smaller languages and countries (where your competitors aren't even trying!) at an incredibly low cost. Just 1/10th of a cent per word!

Who are your translators?
We have found native speakers, who are all experienced app translators, through the course of trying to localize apps we've developed ourselves. All translators speak both English and the native languages fluently, so you can be confident you are getting a great translation and a very, very low cost. (just 4 cents per word!)

How long does it take?
Automatic translation wil be done, and available for download, within minutes. Human translations typically take between 1-4 days. Your order page will allow you to download individual translations as soon as they are ready, or download a zip of all your available files whenever you'd like. Just follow the 2-minute integration tutorial and your app is ready to distribute!

How does payment work?
You make a credit card payment (powered by the best and most trusted CC processor there is - Stripe) when you submit your order. There is also a PayPal button if you prefer not to use a credit card.

How much will my revenue increase?
We can't tell you that for sure, but going from an English-only app to supporting every iTunes language is an audience increase of about 2.8x. The factor is even greater on Android, as Android has larger worldwide market share. When you consider that your competitors are not even competing in some of these countries and languages, you'll see that localizing your app, especially at our low prices, is a no-brainer.

What if I need to update just a few strings from a previous order?
You can do that! Simply paste in your old order number where it says "I am updating an old order" before you pay. The cost of all the previous-translated strings will be deducted. Please note that our $7/175-word minimum per expert translator still applies.
