Our objective is to understand the root cause, as well as any human factors that contributed to an incident. Communication of our investigation findings is key to the prevention of similar incidents. Process safety is not an outcome or a status achieved; it is a Valero core value with an objective of continuous improvement to support our operational excellence goals.
