PARIS 2024 OPEN GAMES PARIS 2024 26 THE PARTNERS, VITAL TO THE SUCCESS OF THE GAMES The partners, whether worldwide (members of the IOC’s TOP programme) or national (premium, official or supporters), will play a vital role in the organisation and success of the Paris 2024 Games. Beyond their financial contribution, they provide PRODUCTS AND SERVICES NEEDED FOR THE ORGANISATION OF THE GAMES , and operational support during the event. Ten of the partners (Atos, Alibaba, Intel, Omega, Panasonic, Samsung, Visa, Orange, Cisco and DXC Technology) are already actively working with Paris 2024 on designing technological systems and operations. The partners also share THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE, HELPING TO MAKE THE GAMES RESPONSIBLE AND SUSTAINABLE. The implementation of concrete solutions within Pulse, the headquarters of the Organising Committee, illustrates this contribution. For example, EDF is supplying 100% renewable energy, produced in France, while Coca-Cola has provided water and soda fountains. This is the first stage in the rollout of these solutions across all competition venues, helping achieve our goal of sustainable Games, with a minimal carbon footprint and zero single-use plastic. Finally, the partners are TRUE AMBASSADORS FOR THE PARIS 2024 VISION , using their ecosystems to spread the word (among their employees, customers, suppliers, etc.) and participating fully in our heritage programmes. They help promote sporting activities through Olympic Day, and sport in schools with the Olympic and Paralympic Week. Allianz, Toyota and Groupe BPCE have shown particularly strong commitment to these two annual events. They also encourage the Olympic and Paralympic athletes whom they sponsor – nearly 300 athletes in total – to engage with the general public. For example, FDJ, Bridgestone and EDF were among the foremost players during the Tokyo Games live stream, helping to share the powerful emotions stirred up by sport with as many people as possible. Finally, our partner Orange, which is sponsoring the public marathon, is helping us realise an unprecedented vision: opening up an Olympic event to public participation for the first time in history.
