An overview of the various user roles and access levels within our system. Whether you're an admin setting up permissions or a user seeking to understand your access rights, this guide will help you navigate and manage roles effectively.
User Roles
This is domain level. If you have access to a brand subdomain, you have a Role as a User.
Inviting Users to a Subdomain
Step 1
Click Users tab on the brand dashboard.
Step 2
If you're an Owner, you can invite new users through the Invite User(s) box, defining their role and checking the boxes if you want them to be notified by email that they're being invite or sent a personalized message.
Setting Auto-join to a Subdomain
By enabling it, you can add emails domains + a role, so invited person will automatically join the subdomain with their role already set.
Access Types
This is content level. You can give and be granted permission to experiences through your user role or through the People tab.
- Can edit: The user can view and edit the document.
- Can view analytics: The user can view the document and its analytics section.
- Can comment: The user can view the document and comment.
- Can view: The user can only view the document.
- Can't access: The user cannot access the document.
Step 1
Click on the "Share" button in the top right corner.
Step 2
Click People tab.
Step 3
Now you can add a person email and grant them different access, if you're an owner; verify your type of access from the list and who are the people already listed there.
Use Cases
I want to share a document with someone and would like them to be able to comment on it.
You can share a document and select "Can comment" from the options. The recipient will be able to see the document and access its analytics section.
I want to share a document with someone and would like them to have access to the analytics section.
You can share a document and select from a variety of options. One of the options is "Can view analytics." The visitor will be able to see the document and also access its analytics section.
I want to restrict access to a document from the rest of my team.
You can block specific users from your document by selecting the "Can't access" option from the dropdown list for each user. But if you want to block everyone in your domain from accessing the asset, select the "Can't access" option for "Everyone at (your company) with this link."
