Keep dropping the rate of speech until the other person notices. 8. Be Wise While talking with someone, stroke a long, imaginary (or real if you have it) beard like a wise man in a martial arts film. 9. Mirror Language Mirror other people’s body language in meetings. See how precise you can be without getting caught.2 1 It’s better to do with someone you know. Unless you’re applying for a job as an FBI interrogator, this is probably too aggressive to do during an interview. 2 If you notice someone mirroring your body language (consciously or subconsciouly), mess with them by slowly changing positions to see if they move to match you. 18
