• If more information is needed to make a decision, we will ask you for the information within one calendar day after we receive your claim, and we will give you seven calendar days to send the information. We will notify you of our decision within 48 hours of receiving the first piece of requested information or by the deadline for receiving the information, whichever is sooner. The extension will not delay the decision beyond 30 calendar days without your consent. • If we deny your appeal, our adverse benefit determination notice will tell you why we denied your appeal and will include information regarding any further process, including external review, which may be available to you. Urgent Pre-Service Appeal • Tell us that you want to urgently appeal our adverse benefit determination regarding your pre-Service claim.
