Bios Larry Mitchell (Andy Rubens) originated the role of Andy Rubens in 17 Minutes at The Barrow Group Theatre Company in New York City. Previous appearances at The Barrow Group include the title role in Enemy of the People and productions of Lobby Hero and Orange Flower Water, among others. Larry originated the role of Joey in the NYC workshop premiere of A Steady Rain and conceived, produced, and performed the solo show, When I Wished I Was Here; Dispatches from Fallujah ; compiled entirely from the memoirs of former Marine Sgt. Derek McGee. Larry toured nationally and internationally as “C.O.” in the military drama ReEntry. On television, Larry recently starred in We Own This City from David Simon/George Pelecanos ( The Wire) and played Jay Paterno alongside Al Pacino in Barry Levinson’s Emmy - nominated film, Paterno... both for HBO. Gues t star & recurring TV highlights: Chicago P.D., FBI: Most Wanted, NCIS: New Orleans, Jessica Jones, NOS4A2, The Blacklist, The Enemy Within, Blue Bloods, Sneaky Pete, Hostages, Mysteries of Laura , among others. Film highlights: The Departed, American Gang ster, Blame, The Trial of the Chicago 7. Very excited and grateful to be in Edinburgh. Larry grew up in Littleton, CO. For my Mom. Brian Rojas (Detective Virgil Morris) is a Colombian - American actor and native New Yorker. This is his Edinburgh Fringe F estival debut. He is ecstatic, and honored to play alongside such talented players and mentors. He developed his acting approach at The Barrow Group Theater Company in New York City. His recent stage credits include: The world premiere of 17 Minutes by Sco tt Organ at The Barrow Group MainStage, Brazilian play Savana Glacial by Jo Bilac (Fringe NYC - UT Patet Theater Co.), Macbeth (Red Monkey Theater Group), and Dead Man’s Cell Phone (Red Monkey Theater Group). His recent Film credits include the feature film s; A Good Person (Dir. Zach Braff) and Sharper (Dir. Ben Caron). On the Television side; recent credits include Law & Order: SVU , Law & Order , Organized Crime , and Wutang: An American Saga . Living the dream!
DeAnna Lenhart (Samantha Rubens) is excited to make her Edinburgh Fringe debut in the role of Samantha which she played in the original off - Broadway production at The Barrow Group. Prior to that, DeAnna was seen in another Scott Organ play, The Thing with Feathers , also at TBG. She performed in Point Last Seen which was presented at the Atlantic Second Stage and The Barrow Group's production of Phoenix . Other Barrow Group credits include The Fear Project , Release , Short Stuff II , and Short Stuff III . Other New York credits include Runners at Atl antic Theater Company's 453 New Works, Escape From Happiness and The House of Yes (Tantrum Theatre) and What I Like About Breasts (Exploding Moment). Regional Credits: A Midsummer Night's Dream (Idaho Shakespeare Festival) and Sincerity Forever (New City Theater, Seattle). Short Films: Curfew and So Grown Up . She has a BFA in Acting from Cornish College of the Arts. She has also been seen in several national and regional commercials. Much love to her two biggest joys in life, Henry and Arlen. Shann on Patterson (Mary Stevens) is a New York based director, actor and teacher. Besides originating the role of Mary in the World Premiere of 17 Minutes , some of her most recent credits include directing the Off - Broadway, New York Premieres of Torben Betts’ Muswell Hill , Erik Gernand’s The Beautiful Dar k, & John Yearly’s The Unrepeatable Moment . Shannon is a resident teaching artist at The Barrow Group in NYC where, for the last two decades, she has had the pleasure of developing and directing new plays. Her latest project has taken her to the world of television where she is the resident acting coach on the set of the Max original Pretty Little Liars: Ori ginal Sin & Pretty Little Liars: Summer School . She is so grateful to the Edinburgh Fringe for this amazing opportunity! A giant shout out to our producers for making this dream a reality! Michael Giese (Dan Watson) is thrilled to be making his Edinburgh Fringe debut reprising the role of Dan Watson in 17 Minutes. He is a resident teaching artist at The Barrow Group wh o has been seen in numerous national network commercials for products such as Coca - Cola, Hellman’s Mayonnaise, New York Life Insurance, MGD64, and Dr. Scholl’s. He appeared in the video games Grand Theft Auto V as Fabien LaRouche and more recently in Red D ead Redemption II, on television in As The World Turns and Nurse Jackie, in multiple short and feature length films, most recently the short films “The One Who Rang” executive produced by Josh Gordon (The Switch, Blades of Glory) and “Luke & Emma and a gas station on Franklin Ave” directed by Levi Wilson. Michael won a Best Supporting Actor award at the 2013 Long Island International Film Expo for his role as Jon Phelps in the feature Wet Behind The Ears. He has also been seen on stage regionally at the Pen obscot Theatre in Bangor, Maine and off broadway in various short and full length plays at The Barrow Group, most notably in an adaptation of Henrik Ibsen’s “An Enemy Of The People” by Seth Barrish and K. Lorrel Manning, a collection of shorts by Mr. Manni ng entitled “Awake” and the acclaimed NY premiere of Scott Organ’s “17 Minutes”, also at TBG. Directing Credits include: Lyle K essler’s Perp , Mike Leigh’s Abigail’s Party (NY Times Critic’s Pick), Craig Wright's The Pavilion , Dan Clancy’s The Timekeepers , Craig Wright’s Orange Flower Water , and a new translation of Uncle Vanya . In 2009 Ms. Brock created FAB, a development wing of The Barrow Group dedicated to creating projects For, About, and By Women. FAB serves more than 100 artists. One of Ms. Brock’s personal missions is to help artists create their own projects. She has acted at The Barrow Group, The Kennedy Center, Manhattan Theater Club, The Lucille Lortel, Playhouse 91, La Mama etc., and
many other theaters around the country. Her television appearances include leading roles in Orange is the New Black , Law and Order , Law and Order SVU , and Law and Order Criminal Intent . Lee is a master teacher at The Barrow Group. Thousands of students from all over the world have studied with her in the last 30 years. Scott Organ (Playwright) is a New York city based playwright and screenwriter. His film Roost , directed by Amy Redford , had its North American premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival and will have a theatrical release through IFC Films under the title What Comes Around in August 2023. His plays have been performed and workshopped throughout the United States, Europe and South America and have been commissioned by The Atlantic Theater Company and developed by theaters including The Barrow Group, The New Group, Page 73, South Coast Rep, and the Gulfshore Playhouse. His play Phoenix premiered at the Humana Festival of New American Plays and was subsequently produced at The Barrow Group and through Rattlestick at Cherry Lane Theater with Julia Stiles. Phoenix has been translated into Portuguese, Spanish and French. His writing has be en featured in Arts In The Armed Forces, performed by Laura Linney and Dianne Wiest. Scott is an alum of Page 73’s Interstate 73 writer’s group and a member of the Dramatists Guild. Seth co - directed the Netflix Comedy Special Tha nk God for Jokes and directed the Netflix Comedy Special Mike Birbiglia, My Girlfriend's Boyfriend . He was a consulting producer for the film Don’t Think Twice and a producer of Mike Birbiglia’s CD Sleepwalk With Me Live . As an actor, Seth appears regular ly in film and on television. Seth is also a composer (SESAC) and most proud of his affiliation with his family, Lee Brock, Phillip & Rachel Barrish. Robert Serrell (Executive Director, The Barrow Group) (he/him) has served as Executive Director of the award - winning non - profit performing arts group The Barrow Group since 2014, overseeing the production of more than a dozen off - Broadway shows, the growth of TBG's diversity scholarship program by 400%, and the acquisition and build - out of an 18,000 squ are - foot arts center in midtown Manhattan. Under his leadership, TBG's operating budget has grown from $400,000 to $3,000,000, contributed revenue has increased by 833%, and TBG's training programming has grown by 930%. Robert began his theatrical career under the mentorship of Irene Worth, to whom he extends his gratitude for so many important lessons. His greatest accomplishment is his lovely family – Catherine, Lucas, and Lillian. David Calvitto (Producer) has participated in seven Fringe First winni ng plays as actor, director and producer since first coming to the Edinburgh Festival in 2000. In 17 years of participation in the festival between 2000 and 2022, he acted in 23 plays and directed two. In addition to Edinburgh, he’s played the festival cir cuit in Adelaide, Amsterdam, Perth and New York. Outside the fringe, he’s appeared in the West End production of 12 Angry Men, Lucas Hnath’s The
Christians at the Gate Theatre in Notting Hill and The Shawshank Redemption at the Gaiety Theatre, Dublin. Oth er theatre credits include, Americana Absurdum, Menier Chocolate Factory; These Shining Lives, Park Theatre; The Odd Couple, Theatre - at - the Mill, Belfast; Nine Circles, The Park Theatre; Secret Cinema’s Casino Royale in Shanghai, China. He has toured John Clancy’s solo play The Event around the world, including in Adelaide, Amsterdam, Belfast, Berlin, Luxembourg, New York and Perth, Australia. Awards: The Stage Best Actor award for Horse Country, Edinburgh Festival Fringe; Best Theatre Performer award for T he Event, Adelaide Fringe Festival. Marshall Cordell (Producer) is a producer and investor in the entertainment industry. His journey began in 2002 at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe where he co - produced the Chicago production of Bomb - itty of Errors , a hip hop rap version of Shakespeare’s Comedy of Errors. The show moved directly from Edinburgh to a run at the Ambassador’s Theatre in London’s West End. Marshall has been actively and consistently involved in high - quality Edinburgh Fringe productions ever sinc e, forming a close working relationship with the Assembly Rooms and William Burdett - Coutts. Their joint credits include: Friendsical , a musical parody of the popular TV show, Friends; My Life as a 10 Year Old Boy , featuring Nancy Cartwright, the voice of B art Simpson; 24 Hours with Mary Lyn Rajskub, starring the 24 TV actor; and many other smash shows starring Jennifer Coolidge, Bond girl Britt Ekland, Kristen Schaal, and Rain Pryor. Marshall also conceived, and was the original producer of 50 Shades! The M usical Parody which premiered in Edinburgh and went on to tour the world. He also notably produced If I..., Dimitri Martin’s 2003 Perrier Award winning show in Edinburgh. Other investments include the West End production of David Mamet’s Sexual Perversity in Chicago , starring Matthew Perry and Minnie Driver, Sarah Silverman’s debut film Jesus is Magic and the Broadway Tony Award winners, Boeing - Boeing starring Mark Rylance, The Addams Family starring Nathan Lane, and Spamalot. In a career spanning over two d ecades, Marshall Cordell continues to make a significant impact in the entertainment industry as producer and
investor to bring compelling stories and experiences to audiences worldwide. Allison Parker (Production Stage Manager, Producer) got her start in Chicago before moving to New York City, where she is now based, stage managing theater for over a decade. Her Edinburgh Fringe credits include: 17 Minutes (2023), Yoga With Jillian (2023), Intelligence (2022), Solitary (2019) , Trump Lear (2018 - 2019) , The Providence of Neighboring Bodies (2018), The Sister ( 2016). Without his love, support and home cooked meals, she’d be lost (and hangry). <3 Mark Woollett (Finance Manager) Mark has worked administratively with The Barrow Group for almost ten years. Previously, however, he acted and directed professionally in more than 50 productions, including 21 of Shakespeare's 37 plays. For nearly ten years, he was in residence at Shakesp eare & Company in the Berkshires working as a teacher, producer and administrator as well as acting in seventeen productions. He also served as the Artistic Director for Advice To The Players in Sandwich, NH. Memorably, Mark and his wife, Candace Clift, co - directed Romeo and Juliet at the Ho Chi Minh City School of Theater and Film in Vietnamese. Once upon a time, he graduated from Lewis & Clark College with degrees in Theatre Arts and Mathematics and spent two years teaching in Namibia with the United Stat es Peace Corps.
