harrisville is the central village in town, and the preservation that’s taken place there has earned it a spot on the National Register of Historic Places. The trailblazer for this was Austin T. levy, a textile industrialist and pioneer of paid vacations and profit sharing with workers. Back in the 1930s he funded a coordinated village beautification campaign to create a model American town, and you can still see this work today. The village hub has a gorgeous waterfall prime for social media captures, delicious restaurants, a weekly farmer’s market throughout the summer, and the historic assembly Theatre that hosts dozens of events each year. The adjacent village of pascoag is connected by an easily traversed bike path making for a pleasurable experience as you wander. granite Mill park and White Mill park are two must-see places to take in the tranquil beauty of this village. Also, visit the pascoag riverwalk and take a break at the nearby Cow’s Tail deli & Creamery. And fans of H.P. lovecraft will note that Pascoag is one of the settings for his book, “The Horror of Red Hook” written in 1925. Bravo Brewing Company Speaking of that, addieville East Farm offers pheasant hunting, sporting clays, fly fishing, and trout ponds for the avid sportsperson. This is quite a popular spot, so much so that we’ve even heard some New England Patriots players visit here from time to time. Burrillville also hosts some of the most highly-regarded restaurants in the state with Johnny’s Victory diner being awarded #1 BBq in the state according to Food & Wine magazine, and the famous Wright’s Farm restaurant known for their acclaimed “family-style chicken dinners.” Wright’s also has the largest gift shop in Blackstone Valley. make sure to swing by as it's chock full of local Rhode Island items.
