To raise these concerns, we provide our global Amex Ethics Hotline online and by phone 24/7, staffed by representatives who among them speak more than 170 languages. An independent organization hosts the hotline and reporters can provide information confidentially or anonymously where local laws allow. Specially trained individuals at American Express promptly review all concerns raised and investigate further when appropriate. Our Whistleblower Claims Policy allows colleagues, contractors, customers, merchants, and others to report allegations in good faith without fear of retaliation or risk to their employment. Claims are investigated and recommendations are made by the Colleague Experience Group, Internal Audit Group, and Global Security, in consultation with our General Counsel’s Organization, as appropriate.
