While that recognition has been gratifying, the true driver behind our sustainability efforts has been an understanding that our planet simply cannot continue to sustain life (as we know it) if we remain on the path we are on. Resources are diminishing, temperatures are rising, and people everywhere are feeling the impact. All of this is reflected in the sustainability aspirations we have set for ourselves as a company. They are ambitious by design, because we believe true sustainability is based not on what is easy for us to accomplish, but on what the science tells us is needed to preserve our planet. In addition, our sustainability journey has consistently reminded us that as we achieve more, we realize how much more can be done.
