MARKETING GUIDELINES The IWGA holds the right to market, commercially exploit sponsorship and all licensing rights in relation to The World Games on a worldwide basis. The IWGA grants to the Host City and therefore the Local Organising Committee (LOC) all or part of its commercial rights, including sponsorship, marketing, promotion and merchandising rights. The LOC is responsible to observe that all participants obey to and follow the own given guidelines as well as the restrictions mentioned in this document. Participants from International Sport Federations (IFs), National Olympic Committees (NOCs), National Sports Organisations (NSOs), National Federations (NFs), including athletes and officials, are concerned with the below regulations. IFs, NFs and athletes must send a written request for approval (RFP) to the Local Organising Committee via the Sponsor Request Form as early as possible, but no later than 31 March 2022 to ask for approval of sponsors on their personal equipment and clothing. This process is put in place to avoid any exclusivity conflicts between sponsors or potential sponsors of IWGA and LOC. The LOC will inform the participants in writing in case of refusal. The same applies for NOCs and NSOs in case of team uniforms, with timeline until 31 May 2022. Equipment and clothing belonging to IFs, NOCs/NSOs, NFs or individual athletes may not display any form of advertising unless this has been specifically authorised by the IWGA or Host City. Applications to display branding/advertising on such equipment or clothing shall be submitted by the given deadline. The size of logos and restrictions on the number of sponsors follow IF regulations. In principle it is allowed to display the brand name, designation, trademark, logo or any other distinctive sign of the manufacturer of an item, excluding barcodes, QR codes, URLs, social media accounts or hashtags. An item may be accessory, clothing, footwear or sports equipment. For more information, please contact [email protected]. Page 4
