Take Pictures Everywhere When you write a book, you’re asking people to pay atten- tion to you. Why should they do that? Everybody has too much to think about already. Why should they think about you? 吀栀e answer is simple. You’ve got to make your- self more interesting than all the other stu昀昀 (that is, the marketplace noise) that’s out there. You’ve got to create yourself as a larger- than- life personality. It’s a matter of magnifying your life experiences, 昀椀rst in your own eyes and then in everyone else’s. 吀栀at’s why I’m constantly taking pictures of the peo- ple I meet and the places I visit. It’s a way of saying, “吀栀is is interesting! 吀栀is is exciting! 吀栀is is fun! 吀栀is is worth a picture!” And that’s really the way I feel. If I don’t feel that way, why do I think anybody is going to read something I’ve written? I want to invite people into my life and into my world.
