I like a lot of the ideas here, even if some lack an obvious connec- tion with The Alliance (for example, our book doesn’t discuss “cultures of learning” or reward systems). The modern work- place is so busy that managers have fewer and fewer opportuni- ties to provide timely feedback to their direct reports, and vice versa. The rise of remote and hybrid workplaces only exacer- bates the problem.
